For sale!

Hi everyone!  Whew, so I know I warned people at the beginning of this trimester that it was going to be a doozy... I haven't gone mad yet, but I'm close.  I'm in week 11 of 15, so just a few to go and then I get a lovely two week break.  Tim and I are meeting out in California to see my mom and dad's new place and then I'll be back in Wichita for the rest.  I'm counting down the days, but I know the closer I get to break the tougher it's going to get!

Tim came to visit March 8-15.  It was so nice to have him here for a whole week!  We hadn't seen each other since January 8.  Way too long, and trust me we're never doing that again!  Of course, the week went by quickly and we're back to being apart.  BUT...not for long, because we decided to put our home in Wichita on the market and get Tim moved up to Chicago!!!  Yippee!!!  This has always been a topic of discussion, we just didn't want to make any major decisions right off the bat.  Not only am I obviously excited to be living in the same house as my husband again, but I'm also super excited about the opportunities he'll have up here.  Sad to say, but good ol' Wichita just doesn't quite offer everything we're after!  The only thing it does offer that cannot EVER be replaced will be our good friends and family that live there.  Fingers crossed that our house will sell quickly, spread the word if you know of anyone in search of a cute, character-filled house in Sleepy Hollow!

This weekend I volunteered in the city at the Family Farmed expo.  After working at the will call window, my girlfriend and I walked around the expo.  It was so cool.  There were multiple booths set up with local farmers and small businesses that are trying to provide healthy and organic sustainable food to people in the area.  We indulged in some lemongrass ginger kombucha, organic dark chocolate covered blueberries and rose petal flavored ice cream.  Oh, and of course I cannot forget to mention the cheese!  I'd have to say the garlic herb cheddar was my favorite!  I'm telling you, there is just something different about the taste of food that hasn't been flown across the country, or halfway across the world.  It's WAY BETTER!!!  We also got info on how to get healthy, local, organically grown food.  One of the vendors actually makes weekly deliveries to our school!  I see my trips to the grocery store dwindling, what a great thing!  More fresh, less processed...I'm already feeling better just thinking about it!  So nice to know exactly where my food comes from!  It was also such a great feeling to see so many people so interested in such a good thing.  Trust me, I worked the will call/registration window and I checked in a TON of people!  I just noticed a bunch of exclamation points in this paragraph, but that is how I feel...!!!!!!!!

I sure do miss everyone from back home.  I hope all is well for everyone!  It's safe to say this will be my last post until I'm on break.  Happy spring!
